Final league match of the season against Barking Phoenix with Chelmsford still needing one point to finish in third position. Although it wasn't to be as the home team dominated the match and ran out winners to leapfrog over Chelmsford in the table and take that third and final place for Yarmouth. Chelmsford v Clacton - Sunday 31/10/2010
League
The penultimate game of the season with Chelmsford just needing one point from the next two fixtures, which would all but seal another visit
in April to Yarmouth for the Interleague Cup, courteousy of a top three finish. It was not going to be easy though against opponents Clacton who
themselves were looking for a win to put themselves into second place.
First session started brightly enough for Chelmsford with the home team taking it 5-4, but an unbroken run of twelve frames for Clacton over the
second and third sessions saw the away team take the match and lead 8-19. A last session 6-3 win for Chelmsford though saw the team rally to a
more respectable 14-22 loss.

Brightlingsea v Chelmsford - Sunday 19/09/2010
League
With three games of the season left to play, this match looked the easiest on paper and with Chelmsford flying high and in first place with Braintree 'A', and Brightlingsea second from bottom it was another three points in the bag.

Chelmsford v Braintree 'A' - Sunday 22/08/2010
League
Second match of the month and a top of the table clash with League favourites Braintree 'A', and a big match to possibly cement 1st place in the table.
With
Chelmsford missing players due to holiday and other commitments, Trevor was called up from his Interleague sabbatical.
So to the first session and
with Braintree romping it 6-3, they looked good for their favourites tag. However, with Chelmsford edging the 2nd session 5-4 and then taking the third
6-3 it was the home team in the box seat going into the last. And so to the last session and with Chelmsford winning 3 out of the first 5 frames and
Chris looking in a no lose situation in his frame, it was looking good for at least a well deserved draw. However five minutes later and losses for
Chris, Nigel and a break and dish against Trevor, meant Chelmsford were 18-17 down. So it was down to Gary to at least salvage a point, a feat he
managed to do only after his opponent, who looking good for the win, saw his black rattle and stick over the corner pocket.

Braintree 'B' v Chelmsford - Sunday 01/08/2010
League
Second fixture of the season against Braintree 'B'. This time in the league, and with Chelmsford already having chalked up a win in the run to the KO
cup success, confidence was high for another win. Although with Chris away on a golfing weekend a late replacement was needed and it was Mike who was
called upon for his first taste of Interleague action.
With the match starting off evenly enough, it was Chelmsford though who pulled ahead winning the second and third sessions 6-3. Finishing off with
another 5-4 session it was another win for Chelmsford.
Session scores: 4-5, 3-6, 3-6 and 4-5.

Chelmsford v CWPL 'A' - Sunday 18/07/2010
League
After last months non event against Basildon, Chelmsford were back in action against 3rd placed and hotly tipped
joint favourites for the league, CWPL 'A'. Having beaten them in a tight league encounter last year and more recently in
the KO Cup final in May, Chelmsford were out to prove both wins were no fluke, and to maintain their good run of form.
It was though, CWPL 'A' who started off the better team, winning the first two sessions 5-4 and with the visitors
leading 11-8, Chelmsford had to dig deep in the third, and managed to get ahead for the first time winning 7 of the next 8 frames, for
an over all third session score of 15-12. With the last session a close 5-4 win it was only by winning the
last four frames which eventually saw Chelmsford over the line.
Session scores: 4-5, 4-5, 7-2 and 5-4.

Chelmsford v Basildon - Sunday 27/06/2010
League
Due to England's World Cup game against Germany taking place in the afternoon, Basildon being the travelling team,
understandably asked for this fixture to be postponed.
However with players unavailable and no suitable date to be found before the next round of fixtures, Chelmsford
exercised their right and claimed the match.
Basildon have since pulled out of the league and their results expunged
from the records.
NEPL v Chelmsford - Sunday 06/06/2010
League
With the KO Cup win and qualification for Yarmouth in the bag it was back to league matters this month with a trip back to Mrpools and a fixture against NEPL, a team we had beaten last year 23-13.
This time round however a much closer game, with NEPL getting the better start and after the first two sessions they found themselves 10-8 up. A better third session for Chelmsford though, saw them take the lead at 13-14, and with the final session trading frames all the way to 17-18 in favour of Chelmsford it was down to Chris again for the second time in a month to play and win the final game of the match, this time with a dish after his opponent went in off on the break.
Session scores: 5-4, 5-4, 3-6 and 4-5.

Barking Phoenix v Chelmsford - Sunday 23/05/2010
KO Cup Semi-final
KO Cup Finals day and four teams left out of the starting ten, playing for first place and a guaranteed spot at the National finals in October.
With favourites CWPL and Braintree A drawing each other in the first semi, it was down to underdogs for the cup,
Chelmsford, to take on current League and KO Cup holders Barking Phoenix in the other. It was in the semis last year that
Chelmsford took on Barking and got a short, sharp, shock losing 19-7.
This year and with a more
consistant team lineup to pick from, Chelmsford were able to match their opponents throughout a see-sawing match,
eventually managing after 36 frames to draw 18-18, with Chris playing and winning the all important last frame to set
up a deciding three frame shootout.
With Calum, Gary and Stuart put forward to play, the team were spared another final frame decider with Calum and Gary winning
their games.
Session scores: 3-6, 6-3, 4-5 and 5-4 and 0-2 in the decider.

CWPL v Chelmsford - Sunday 23/05/2010
KO Cup Final
So with Chelmsford aiming for their first KO Cup final win in the tournament's 18 year history and going for only their
second Interleague title in 20 years, it was going to be CWPL standing in their way, themselves winning against Braintree
A in a vociferous match that also went to a deciding three frame shootout, with CWPL finally victorious,
winning 2-1, and 20-19 overall.
Maybe that match took something out of CWPL 'A' because in a somewhat surprisingly one sided final, it was Chelmsford who
after another good start, did the major damage in the third winning it 8-1 and taking the cup with a session to spare.
Well done to the whole team, who after a few years have finally brought some more silverware back to Chelmsford and a spot at the national finals later in the year.

Braintree B v Chelmsford - Sunday 25/04/2010
KO Cup Quarter-Final
A rest from the league this month and a KO cup game away to Braintree B the fixture.
With finals day at Mrpools next month up for grabs and a chance to qualify for the
national final in Yarmouth later in the year.
With 19 the magic number to get to, it was all about making a good start and Chelmsford got that, finding themselves
12-6 up after the second session. With Braintree staging a mini revival in the third it was just not enough, with
Chelmsford closing out the match in the fourth by Dan M, Dan S, Gary and Stuart.
Session scores: 3-6, 3-6, 5-4 and 0-4.

Chelmsford v Harlow - Sunday 28/03/2010
League
Start of the new Interleague season and Chelmsford at home to Harlow.
With a few new faces in the squad, and a
change of venue, the team managed to get the start
they were looking for with a comfortable 27-9 win over a weakened Harlow team who were a player short.
Session scores: 7-2, 7-2, 5-4 and 8-1.
